Rihanna Launches New Scent

Posted on May 2, 2012 By admin

Rebelle, the sister fragrance to her Reb’l Fleur, arrives today with her new CD at Macy's.

Rihanna's initial launch into the fragrance category with Reb’l Fleur showed off her delicate, yet darker side. But fans really wanted to see her rebellious nature. According to WWD, "When RiRi launched her first fragrance, she asked her fans in a Web video if they considered themselves to be a rebel or a flower. A resounding 68 percent voted for the rebellious persona, and that became the name of her second women’s scent, Rebelle by Rihanna." Shortly after the Chris Brown incident, we can see why she chose to embrace the flower. But now a full three years, countless awards and international superstardom later, it's her rebellious, yet light-hearted nature that's put her on top.

Rebelle is made with top notes of strawberry, ginger and plum, vanilla orchid and heliotrope with coffee, patchouli, musk and amber, is "built off the sexy back of Reb’l Fleur." It will retail for $49 for a 1.7-oz. eau de parfum spray, $59 for 3.4-oz. version and $30 for a 6.7-oz. body lotion.

Starting today, Macy’s will promote it in a special holiday gift set, consisting of Rihanna’s new CD,  plus a 3.4-oz. bottle of Rebelle and a 3.4-oz. Reb’l Fleu—all for $118.
